Rye Bread
Fresh Dill
I love this dip my sister in law Carole shared this with us many years ago and it has become a favorite of ours.
You will need 1 - 2 loaves of Rye bread
one to hollow out for your boat (bowl) and one for extra to cut for dipping.
Ryeboat Dip
1 1/3 cups mayonnaise
1 1/3 cups sour cream
6 oz. sliced or chopped chipped beef (optional I don't use this family doesn't like it)
2 teaspoons finely chopped onion
2 teaspoons chopped dill weed or dried dill weed
2 teaspoons parsley fresh or dried
2 teaspoons Beau Monde Seasoning
Beau Monde is a blend of salt, onion, and celery seed
Mix the above and chill. **One exception if this is to be chilled overnight add the onion before you go to serve it so it won't be so strong. It will be fresher tasting.**
The dip gets more flavorful with chilling
Take your loaf of Rye Bread and cut the top off
carefully slice out the inner bread leaving enough to make a substantial container for your dip
take the bread and cut into pieces that can be used for dipping.
Hope you enjoy and now

Looks delicious! I need to make our own mayo for now, until my husband is off the coumadin, but rye dip is so good it's worth it. I never knew what was in Beau Monde.
